An unwritten book by Scotland based artist Fiona Watson. Fiona is a scientist and artist, which I think comes through in these collages. They feel like a text book documenting various element of nature, but in such a beautiful creative way!

Like post-modern silhouettes, created by a woman who finds her inspiration in everyday life.

She explains on her flickr page: “I am, in fact, in love with life.”

She adds this PS: “This profile might say Portland (which in my heart of hearts will probably always be home) but right now I am living and working in Honolulu Hawaii. I’ll be here for a few more years whilst I finish my masters degree in fine art and then… who knows. Hopefully I’ll get a job teaching maybe somewhere…My favorite color is blue.”

Pheebs’ Polaroids have always been a favourite of mine. Her Polaroids are what actually convinced me to go out and get my very own Polaroid camera. I have a Polaroid 600 Close-Up version. It has this little plastic slider so you can switch between landscape and close-up…hehe very retro!

Peggy Wolf studied fashion design in Germany and discovered she was more interested in drawing women and clothes, than designing fashion. “In 2006 I moved to London, as I felt very inpired by this city, the people and all the designs,” she explains on her etsy page. “Since a can remember I always wanted to become an illustrator and share the beauty of this media and my talent with the rest of the world.”

How do you display your Polaroids?

My Polaroid heart above my bed.

I love having polaroids of all the people I love above my bed, in the center is the chinese symbol for strength. I put this heart up when I was going through some hard times. Id look at it everyday and remind myself to be strong and that I would get throuh this. Now I’m happily at the other end, with lots of things to look forward too!
